Corporate Profile

Costar Electronics Inc, was established in 1987. Costar Electronics has concentrated mostly on ODM Business which includes a series of Products, like Keyboards as well as Keypads with high quality and now Costar further becomes the most competitive OEM / ODM Business maker which has an increasing market share for PC’s, Industrial & Medical Keyboards and P.O.S in the whole world.

In May of 1998, Costar started a new Golden Age on Agent Business based on mobility as well as plasticity. After introducing the “Smart card reader chips technology” comes from SCM Microsystems P.L, Costar has become a leader for “M-Commerce” and built up the Digital Age with success.

In November of 2000, Costar opened another business opportunity in developing wireless communication. In consideration of a large potential market for “Bluetooth”, Costar was in a position to offer his best service to customer, the famous American company-“Widcomm” which has a large success in the Bluetooth field.

In September of 2001, Costar has been appointed as a VAR in Taiwan by “Texas Instruments” to be responsible for selling the Bluetooth chipset. With a progressive business operation and a foresight of Chairman Shu and Managing Director Lu, Costar has become a partner as Agent with Vino company for G-MOS Image Sensor and with Oti company for related chips of the memory card used on USB1.1/2.0.

Seeing communication has been the star business in 21st century, Costar will offer perfect project including software, hardware, testing, certification and system integration for resolving all issues concerned by customers.

With a trend of quick high technology development and quick transformation, Costar can challenge all the changes in the first time on account of our multivariable business ideals. Milestones

1987		The Company is established. Producing and manufacturing Keyboard.
1990		Establishing the undertaking department of notebook and producing the design of the keyboard.
1992		Terminating the relevant business of notebook, and forming a company which designs, manufactures and sells the particular purpose keyboard.
1994		Inventing the first DOS-V keyboard and achieving exploiting and selling the product .
1995		Receiving the order for goods from Japan, IBM, and Toshiba for particular purpose keyboard.
1996		Obtaining the agreement from nation-wide bank association to use the special purpose machinery keyboard .
1998		Representing the SCM Smart Card Reader chip.
1999		Representing Germany’s Biodate encryption implement product.
2000		Obtaining the American Bluetooth software solving plan.
2001		Obtaining the TI Bluetooth hardware solving plan. Due to the expanding of carrying the business, the company moved from Shi Lin to the Nei Hu science area.
2003		Representing OTi/Vino.
2004		Sign contract with Swiss Xemics Company as their Bluetooth & GPS solution agencies.
2005		Develop success & mass production for Japan FILCO Company Magnetic Mechanical Keyboards. Merge Somy Company & got pattern for Massage Mouse & Massage Ball, not there are still going mass production. Set up production Base in Dong-Guan, Mainland China Da-Lin-San. There are over 600 employees.
